Well, my LLMD thinks that I may have a detox problem and that may be why I am not improving.
He said that if I am no better by my next visit the end of this month, that he will consider taking me off of all meds and concentrate on detox with welchol, fir sauna, etc.
Anyone have this problem? If so, what worked to address proper detox and then did you start to improve when you finally did?
As always, thank you for your reponses!

I'm interested in this too. My LLMD thinks I am very toxic. He had me do IV glutathione on my last visit to bind the toxins. I'm also taking oral glutathione, pekana drainage kit and detox shakes in addition to my medications. He also recommded colonic hydrotherapy (even though my very regular).
Some things I'm doing for detox include Epsom salts baths, regular massage and accupunture. I'm also juicing with all green leafy veggies several times a day.
I'm interested in hearing what others do for detox.

If you are having problems detoxing you should look into HPU/KPU therapy. It will help you re-establish your detox pathways..
FIR sauna has helped me quite a bit. The first few times I didn't sweat at all, but once I did it made me fell better.

Tri, my LLMD has IV glutathione & IVC and we love it.
But my daughter's pathways became clogged even so.
We now see someone in his office, an RN, who has helped unblock her liver and kidneys.
My daughter has improved (brain fog and fatigue) significantly in the last 3 weeks.
I posted about the cleansing process on daisy's liver count thread.
If you want to know more you can email or call me too.
Personally, I think your LLMD is very wise to consider this as part of the problem. It sure makes sense.

Tri, have you read about leaky gut syndrome?
If not, I suggest you get the booklet by that name, written by Elizabeth Lipski, CCN MS. It is a short but in-depth read, very lay friendly, about digestive physiology and how the compromised gut lining causes excess all-body toxicity. And affects the nervous system and immunity each alike, aha!
It offers simple solutions you can do with nutrients, food allergy avoidance, and herbs to seal up the compromised gut lining (if this applies, in your case. We don't know and this is not intended to be a diagnosis, please. Only something to check into, as a possibility, with your doctor).
You could also read the book Natural Therapy for your Liver, this will give you good ideas how to cleanse and *strengthen* the liver. It's written by one of the world-top phytotherapists but is also a lay-friendly read.
SO sorry to hear you have been so frustrated with not getting better, But hopefully now you can have some hope for a better, more rapid and deeper recovery, from here forward, thanks to your doc's new diagnosis and treatment!
The above is for adjunct support only, I do not offer this as medical advice. It's very important to tell your doctor about any nutrient or herbal supplements you are doing, to fine-tune diagnostic pictures and rule out drug-herb-nutrient interactions.
Speaking of which, here is a marvellous and recently printed book (2008) about that exact subject, your doc may love this. The book has been praised as being objective by an NIH researcher, and it is also praised for offering complimentary support info as well as unwanted herb/drug/nutrient interactions. NOTE: Very thick medical terminology, not for the lay reader or at least requires a medical dictionary to pencil in word-for-word translations. Better for docs and always ask your doc questions, never use a book to self-treat, no matter how authoritative the source:
Best wishes and I hope this proves helpful! CI

Correct DNA dysregulations with www.allergie-immun.de (English version) thereby eliminating major food allergies to end the leaky gut problems as well as dysregulations affecting toxic metal elimination, mucor, fungi, chemicals. If the immune system no longer or never has recognized toxinsm to eliminate them, healing becomes very difficult and is not possible.
AI has changed many lives.
Take care.

I agree with GiGi and lululymemom.
Also, a must.... look into mold illness at survivingmold.com. I think this could be a very big part of the picture for a lot of us. HUGE.
