I think Marnie stated in another thread that Tamoxifen EPA as is currently being used in tx of breast cancer may stand a chance of hitting both the cancer & Lyme, if I understood correctly. I'll have to take a look-see if it's Rxd for ER+ PR+ histology.

Someone was also talking about breast cancer being painless. Perhaps in some cases this is true, but not in mine.

I noted a painful lump that felt like a shooting marble, was sent for diagnostic mammo & ultrasound & from my GYN, the US tech, radiologist, surgeon, all the way through until the biopsy, I got the distinct feeling that they all knew what my biopsy results were going to show.

I have Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of the Breast & will be meeting with a Dr at Weill Cornell on Tuesday to see if I can get into a Stage 2 clinical trial for Cryoablation, preceding lumpectomy.

In theory, there may be a possibility of immune system being activated by any DNA from ablated(dead) cancer cells which may be left behind.

A stupid question probably -- but are you saying that you have positive diagnoses for all the things you listed in the title of this thread?

I can't answer your question about breast cancer. It does seem like that is one of the most common cancers I have read that lyme patients seem to get.

I am curious as to whether your LLMD has suggested that either of the babesia or FL1953 results could be cross reactions?

Just recently diagnosed with breast cancer.

I've tested positive in the past for all listed.

B. microti sx corresponded to sx,(B.duncani negative)- Txd Babs 2x & Babs sx went, then txd Lyme - when Babs sx flared again, B.microti was neg & Dr assumed Lyme, Later tested positive for B.duncani & FL1953.

No one has suggested a cross-reaxn. FL1953 was positive again recently, along with target cells in erythrocytes. I think Fry smear was neg for Babs but Babs AB was positive.

Is it possible that one of the Babs AB is cross-reacting w/FL1953? I hadn't thought of that. Perhaps I should ask LLMD.

I wonder if the breast cancers dxd in Lyme sufferers have all been same type. I know there are many different types.

It's scary to think that they might be connected. I guess I wouldn't be to surprised if they were though.

EPA works WITH tamoxifen in some breast cancers.

OmegaBrite has a very high level of EPA, some DHA and a tad of vitamin E (to prevent oxidation).

EPA is FUNCTIONAL...it reduces inflammation bigtime.

DHA is STRUCTURAL...our brains have a LOT of DHA (which is added to infant formulas).

Inflammation is a KNOWN cancer promoter.

Cancer cells (DNA damaged, functioning solely on "glucose" for energy) need to die. Too much die-off too fast is really tough. The body sometimes tries to control this.

I'll have to get some OmegaBrite so I can start taking it after surgery in 2 wks.

I did check & Tamoxifen is used in ER+, which I have. I won't be talking with Oncologists until after surgery but I have a feeling that may be something they'll recommend.

they've been finding Metformin to help with some cancers also, I believe. (Controls blood sugar) I wonder if that might be helpful with Lyme also. Have you looked at it yet?
