Is there anyone out there taking B-complex
vitamins? If so, how has it helped your energy levels? Does it give you a headache like it does me at times? Why do you think it gives me a headache?

I take them and don't have any problem with them at all. Yes, it does seem to help me with my energy.

I take an all natural food brand and am very happy with it http://www.vitacost.com/Garden-of-Life-Vitamin-Code-RAW-B-Complex-1000-mcg-60-Vegetarian-Capsules

I don't know why it would give you a headache. Are you taking a good quality B complex or synthetic? That could make a difference. Also, do you take it with meals or without? I take mine with.

If my daughter didn't take a B-complex everyday, her neuropathy would be much worse. She takes extra.

She also takes a sublingual b-12 with it. That gives her a little extra energy.

I don't notice much difference in energy levels. I take them because you need them if you have candida/yeast.

When i worked at healthfood stores, I saw a lot of people doing very well with the food-grown New Chapter Organics products.

Caution: Some of them may contain soy, if allergic then avoid.

Another good brand that does food-based nutrition is Healthforce Nutritionals.

New Chapter points out that the body doesn't recognize synthetics as food, and that's why the body only uses a portion of it. Instead, the natural supplements (which are cultivated with probiotics, in NEw Chapter's case) seem to show only very low dosages on the bottle, but don't be fooled. The body utilizes them better and you get more mileage out of the small doses. And I have again seen a lot of people do very well with them, based on comments from people.

I think that during illness, the less we douse ourselves with chemicals or synthetics, the better off we are.

Best, CI

You may also need the activated form of B vitamins instead. Such as P5P instead of B6, etc. Country Life makes a great B-Complex called Co-Enzyme B-Complex that has all activated forms of the B-vitamins. I have no financial connections with Country Life, just am a happy customer...

Oh, also if the B-vitamins are grown on yeast, then you may be getting toxins from the yeast in the vitamins and will need to switch to a non-yeast derived product. I don't know if the Country Life Co-Enzyme B-Complex is yeast-free...

I LOVE B vitamins, especially B 1 when I can't get to sleep or feel cranky, and B 6 for stopping seizures.

Brewer's Yeast is a super-food, if you can eat yeast. It's about 50% protein and has a great balance of B vitamins in it. I've never heard about toxins in that type of B vitamin source, but I suppose it could be possible. My husband and son are both violently allergic to Brewer's Yeast. VIOLENTLY. So, it's not something to fool around with. However, they both take B-Complex with no problems.

These help my energy level a lot.

I don't get a headache with B Vitamins.

Best,

Cass A
