Got to work this morning and became disorientated, I could read the words in the newspaper but couldn't understand what I was reading. I could think of what I wanted to say but couldn't get the words out, then my right arm and my tongue went numb. This lasted for about 30 minutes. After I regained my brain and was somewhat back to normal I had a major headache, laid down and slept for about 3 hours, mind is back, headache is gone but I don't feel 100%. Has any of you ever had this happen?

This may have been a TIA.

Transient ischemic attack

It does sound like a TIA.

Please get this checked by your doc.

It could be a warning and should not be ignored.

Especially with the one sided weakness and the language issues.

Hugs,

Geneal

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely be talking to my doc about it in the morning!

If it'a not a TIA, it was likely a migraine. But don't assume. Get it checked out ASAP. A TIA is an emergency, and should be an ER visit. Don't let anyone blow this off.
