I have my appointment this Thursday and since I have been reading through the board, I realized I had many more symptoms that I first thought.
I've been writing my symptoms down everyday that I actually have them as some days I feel fine. Any advice on preparing for this appointment?

Have you also seen the symptoms list?

Yes. I looked over the symptoms list and realized I had many more symptoms than I first believed! Thank you for the link. I'll look through it.

My first appointment was kind of overwhelming with everything they needed to know, but my LLMD was so kind and walked through it all with me... he was patient while my "Lyme Brain" tried to work through all the questions. lol
Good luck!

Take a notebook with you to jot down information!

The first appt is full of info. I took lots of notes and am glad I did. I faxed into the office ahead of time a timeline of progression with the illness/symptoms, including a list of supps/things we had tried in the past. Our LLMD has been wonderful and attentive. It's a shame thought that us Texans have to go out of state. I do hope your is close by. Please update us after you appt.

I also was asked to write down how my illness started and progressed and all the symptoms I had experienced.
Take someone else in there with you. Two heads are better than one.

I didn't even think of taking notes while there! Duh! Seems like common sense now that you mentioned it! I'll definitely update after the appt.
Even if I end up not having lyme, I'm so glad I came across this forum. I have learned so much! For the record, I work in healthcare and I'm just shocked that doctors are so clueless. I guess I shouldn't be though as I was pretty much clueless as well.
The place I'm going is only 30 minutes from my house but lyme is pretty rampant here on the east coast!
