I feel apart reading this today. I literally broke down crying. I'm not a cryer usually, but when it comes to children and this illness...

it breaks my heart. I've thought for 4 yrs now that my oldest grandson is infected with bart or lyme. I seen the tick on him and he scratched it off before I got back with tweezers.

He's not down and out, but was for that summer. I'm able to connect all the pieces of his puzzle.

But what do I know? I'm just the paranoid grandmother that will go crazy on several adults that I hold responsible. Some day those adults are going to be sorry they didn't listen to this crazy tick woman.

Dr Jones is a gift from above for those 10,000 children. Thanks be to God.

You all are so sweet to care so much. Thank you!

nspiker said... "Please let us know if there is anything we can do for him now?"

So sweet of you to ask.

I know he appreciates prayers for the children (these are some of the sickest of all that he has ever seen- very difficult cases), so if you pray, this would be something we all could do.

If you could share his story with as many as possible, it might help to get him help.

His legal defense fund is usually lacking due to having to fight off the INSANE wolves biting at his heels on a daily basis.

Information about how to contribute to the fund to help keep his doors open and his story told is on the website dedicated to him.

Thank you for doing all you can to help this wonderful, amazing man.

Prayers are good but they only go so far here on earth. Map he IS down and out from a financial point of view.

nspiker the best way to support Dr. J. is to contribute to his legal defense fund:

To donate to Dr. J's Legal Defense Fund
Please make donations payable to:

"Pullman & Comley Trust Account for Dr. Charles Jones"

Mail to:
Elliott B. Pollack, Esquire
c/o Pullman & Comley, LLC
90 State House Square
Hartford, CT 06103-3702

Please note "gift" in the memo field

Despite all the BS he's been through he remains focused on his young patients. More power to him!!

Alana, lyme brain going? I was stating my grandson was down and out.

I'm quite aware this wonderful man Dr J is down and out financially due to being a hero and supporter of our cause.

Will do, I've donated before, and will again.

Is he really down and out financially? That makes me really sad. I hope that personally this is not the case.

That Dr. Shapiro is an interesting guy. How can he be in such a position yet know absolutely nothing about the realities of Lyme Disease? Has he ever treated patients with Lyme himself? If so, he must be the most unabservant doctor on Earth.

I can excuse the doctors around here due to Lyme being relatively rare but to live at ground zero...seeing people that suffer from it and thinking after a short course of antibiotics that it cannot exist?? What kind of doctor??

My thoughts exactly.

How can he have the position he does and not know a thing about what he specializes in?

I get the sense that he is a jealous jealous little man.

Yes, he really is lawyer(s) poor from them trying to protect him and his license to practice medicine. They have drained him in every way an elderly doctor can be drained by the corrupt system.

The whole story is sad. So sad it makes no sense.

It is good to see positive press for Dr. J.

He is a saint. Unfortunate situation for him and the children.

Glad he is still practicing.

map, I am SO sorry! I've got lyme on the brain and then some. I hope your grandson is doing well. More importantly I hope your son/daughter sees the light.

nspiker, yes, he is financially down and out. As map says, he's been drained in every way. And it is so very, very sad, not to mention absolutely deplorable.

Paul, thanks for pointing out that this was a Yale newspaper. Interesting isn't it? Perhaps the tide is changing.

I went to last July's hearing and IMO the state medical board could care less about the public's support of Dr. J.

This will probably only make them focus on him even more in an adverse way.

Somehow a grass roots approach and coming through the legislature and Governor's office as the new Medical Director can have some infulence.
