Hi All! I attempt to quit caffeine every year or so, and this time it's actually sticking! I have made it two weeks.

But caffeine seems to have really soaked all the way through my body, and it's not going well. I am still getting full body aches and major headaches two weeks later.

Is there a way to expedite this detox process? Natural home remedies a big plus, as I am temporarily on a strict budget which precludes buying many supplements.

Thank you!

well I guess you are having a drop in serotonin so regular exercise should help, vit d, also..

Homeopathic Nux V. should help with the detoxing... It is usually recommended to take 2 pellets under the tongue (let them dissolve) 3x/day until symptoms go away...

This homeopathic remedy helps the body deal with the effects of stimulants such as coffee or alcohol. It is also good for nausea that is caused as a side effect of taking medication.

And the usual detox stuff, such as drink plenty of fluids, and maybe also dry skin brushing, bath soaks (epsom salts or baking soda in the water), etc., would also probably help...

Take care,

I have Nux V! Thanks Razzle.

Shabah, I didn't know that caffeine withdrawal could cause a drop in serotonin. Thanks for the info.

Razzle, the Nux V took away the headache within 10 minutes. Thank you!!!!!

Now on to the other suggestions, e.g., vitamin D. My husband takes it, so I'll pinch a couple of his pills.
