Okay...so I started taking Ceftin and Bactrim 5 days ago along with some supplements.

I'm now having intermittent episodes of expressive aphasia, poor word retrieval and difficulty swallowing. It comes and goes throughout the day. I also have periods of intense anxiety that last for about an hour.

I went to see my new PCP today and while there I developed resting tremors, new onset. I also have diagnosed myself with Raynauds, as my hands are like ice and turn a bluish tone when cold. That is not new though.

I don't know what o think of all of this and am just looking for opinions on the matter. It's kinda freaking me out!

Im glad to see someone else is taking Ceftin..

I just started Ceftin 10 days ago...

I had the anxiety too, which was new for me and so my dr. presribed ativan and it definitely helps..

Let me know how you are doing as you keep taking Ceftin...I'm experiencing some other symptoms, different than yours, and would be experience if you do too.

Thanks

Ok. It is really weird because I will feel 'ok'; take the meds; then about an hour or two later I'll get the symptoms I mentioned above. It won't last long though but will occur again after I take the meds.

I'm going to put a call into the doc tomorrow.

I called the doctor and he said it could just be that I'm experiencing die off. I guess this is true because I did take a detox bath last night and to my surprise, it made me feel a little bit better.

I'm just really not liking the way I feel and I have to work today. I'm wondering if I should just skip the dose of meds I take with dinner so I make it through my shift as I seem to function better off the meds.

My thinking was to take the morning dose and by 3pm I would feel well enough to function. The anxiety is just so bad....worse than I've ever had before.

From the moment I woke up - my anxiety has been off the wall too - same thing - unlike anything I've ever had before!!! Crazy...

My doctor says the same exact thing about the die-off....I've thought about taking a night off from the meds but I haven't yet. Don't want to start a bad habit. Let me know how it goes though!

Good luck at work- I'm in such bad condition that I had to take a leave of absence...

Well, not that I'm happy you're feeling this way, but it does make me feel better that it isn't just me!

I just made a pitcher of green tea with plenty of lemons to bring to work with me. Don't know how much good it will but I figure it is worth a try.

Someone else on here mentioned the detox bath to me and I've done it about 4-5 times now. I really think it is helping a little. Have you tried that?

I'm glad it's not just me either!

What exactly is a detox bath? I've tried taking baths, but they usually just take a lot out of me!

Epsom salt (2-4 cups is what I have heard)

1 bottle of peroxide

Other things you may add.

1-2 cups of baking soda.
I hadn't done this but did buy some baking soda and am going to add it to the next bath. I read that it helps to eliminate the chlorine in the water and we don't have a filter. Although I am now hoping to get one installed.

You can also add ginger. I've read anywhere from 1 tablespoon to 1/3 cup can be added. It can be placed in a nylon stocking but a coworker of mine suggested that I get fresh ginger, cut off desired amount and boil in a pot of water. After boiling, let it steep for 30 minutes then strain the liquid into the bath.

She suffers from 'fibromylgia' but I'm starting to think it actually lyme!

the ginger is supposed to induce sweating, draw toxins to the skins surface and improve circulation.

I will eventually add the ginger, but I wanted to ease my way into this. LOL! I tend to be pretty sensitive.

I also read it was beneficial to dry brush your body with a natural fiber brush. Towards your heart for better circulation. You do this just prior to getting into the bath.

Typical herx reaction. I herxed non-stop for several years. No breaks at all.

There are many different types of detox. Some people need specific detox methods in order to tolerate antibiotics. This can vary depending on genetics.
