On Monday I noticed my right armpit was sore. Didn't think much of it.

Yesterday I woke up and had pain in both armpits and lumps in both. The right side is more swollen and about 1/3 the size of a golf ball.

I have a call into my LLMD but sometimes they can take a few days to get back to me.

I have not had this in 10 years of having lyme and babs.

Have others had this happen? Any insight as to what this could possibly mean would be appreciated. I read its typically infection but again never had it before and being on ABX, anti-malarials, and herbs I would think that would prevent this?

Thank you

I have had this too.

Armpits, sometimes very swollen, sometimes just sore.

Went away with Bartonella treatment.

Swollen lymph nodes are a symptom of Bartonella.

Thanks for the replies.

I actually started red root last night. I will let you know if helps.

My llmd thought I may have Bart at one point and had me on Factive for a month. After a month he changed his mind and said he didn't think I had Bart. We may have to revisit that.

This is the first time I have ever had them and its towards what I hope is the end of my treatment. I have been in treatment for just over 2 years and feel about 85% of the way back.

I have been having more good days than bad which is a big change for me. So I was was really concerned when this happened.

I just noticed I had a message on my phone from my llmd. He said that this is common and not to worry about it.

I feel better about it but am still having liver blood work done tomorrow just to see how its doing.

Could it be possible that your lymphatic system is just over worked and the junk is builing up in the lymph nodes?

My llmd has me working with a chiropractor who does manual lymphatic drainage massage. He has taught me so much about the importance of keeping my lymphatic system healthy as it is one of the main filters of die-off and bacteria. If it's not pumpin right or gets backed-up, it can't keep up with all the detox and can lead to swollen nodes.

Just my 2 cents worth [Smile] I just know how much the drainage massage helps along with the lymphatic support supplements I take!

Absolutely YES! I've just started to experience some soreness in both armpits but it was a week or so after I started to run 3 days a week again. My LLMD said it was likely a back up of lymph flow/detox as the activity and bouncing from running has increased the lymph flow. It took about 2 weeks more of exercise for it to flush out and now I'm fine.

I will go for a lymphatic massage as I feel like I still need this.

I think viruses can cause the swollen nodes under the arm.

I got them and when I took antivirals, the problem went away. Went off the antivirals, and they came back.

Bouncing on a mini trampoline and dry skin brushing helps drain the lymph. Red root tincture helps, too.
