Mine do especially when I press on them. Is this Lyme? coinfections? Like everything else does it go away with treatment? [Frown]

YES! It was my first symptom. I'm still too early in treatment to give any input, but know that you aren't alone!

Yes and it was finally diagnosed as costalchondritis. I had the worst chest/rib pain that was causing difficult breathing. After days of misery I went to the ER and they found pleural effusions and this costalchondritis which is the inflammation of the connective tissue between the ribs. It's not dangerous but very painful. NSAIDS are the treatment. (anti-inflammatory).

i had this and went to the ER as well a few weeks ago...they said it was most likely chest wall pain and/or costalchondrotis...like the last person said the treatment was a large dose (600 mg) ibuprofen, however, i'm not sure if it was that that helped or if it is yet another symptom that just comes and goes...

it hurt when i inhaled the most...

now, i've been having pain in my upper left leg for over a week, excruciating at times, that's making it very difficult to move around )-: and NOTHING will ease it, thinking about trying compression soon..

so, in my opinion, it seems like mysterious pain plays a large part in this.. unfortunately...

aaargh!!! So rib pain sounds pretty common with Lyme. I don't have pain while inhaling which i think is costochronditis, this is more like someone punched you in the ribcage.

Ugh-ER visits and all? This is one lousy illness.

Hope you all have a Happy Easter and thanks for replying.

I've found that this symptom comes and goes, so I think it's that itinerant inflamational thing that Lyme does so well. The traveling spirochetal inflam circus... [bonk] - a mallet to the ribs -

I just got my answer from all of you as to my rib pain and difficulty breathing.

At times the pain stops and I feel like someone is sitting on my chest, hard to get a breathe in.

My LLMD said it is a sign of lyme. He touched the area between the ribs and I flew! He said all the connective tissues are inflammed from lyme. One of the main symptoms.

This whole things really s-cks!
