Does Minocycline cause the same sun-sensitivity as Doxy?

I have been on these before, but it has been a long time. I know that I am extremely sun-sensitive to Doxy (when I took it, my knuckles got burned from the sun coming into the car when I was driving!).

I don't remember having this problem with Minocycline, but I took it a long time ago.

My doc switched me to Mino right when the winter was threatening to end. And I didn't have any trouble with it. I was on it through June, in to July and I didn't have the kinds of sun sensitivities I had with Doxy.

Our llmd said the same. He said in our southern climate doxy could cause sun poisoning. My daughter took mino during summer at camp and did fine.

I'm one of the lucky ones that didn't have major sun issues with Doxy. But I just switched to Mino anyway as summer is approaching.
