I've always had dizzy spells ever since I got sick in 2005-misdiagnosed until 2/2011 with CFS, cluster headaches etc.
Now I've been on Zithromax-1x daily 500 Mg- since January( doc suspected Lyme) and Cefuroxime- 2x daily 500 Mg since mid March.
Before starting meds I had reached a point were I could no longer work due to mental function. Now I'm on the meds and I am extremely dizzy! I close my eyes and I'm still spinning. I cant even walk around my house without lights and movements bothering me and I get hot I feel like I'm going to pass out and my body won't regulate? Maybe NMH? Also I'm constantly vibrating. I feel so depressed and I have weird/random thoughts. Are the weird thoughts normal?
I know my EBV test came back really high for past infection and I'm not sure what I'm experiencing is Lyme or maybe something else like the EBV? I tested positive to Lyme through igenex Igm
I really can't take it anymore. If anyone has any advice please help I can't go on so dizzy I'm practically bedridden.

Some abx can cause dizziness and/or depression. I would say you are herxing.
HOWEVER.. zithromax can cause inner ear problems... so call your doctor ASAP!!!

I think you need a abx change asap. Agree with Lymetoo, call the doctor.
OLE helped my EBV.
Valium (sp?) is the only thing that helped my dizzies but I don't know if it's okay to mix with the abx? Hopefully a med change will fix this for you.
