I have had two Lyme tests (one in 2009 and one in 2010 that were Western Blot IGM positive bands 23 and 41 but IGG's were negative) reason why two ID's were telling me false positive. I did get to a Lyme friendly MD who ordered testing fm the lab in Trenton (think is med lab)but i am still confused. I am wtng for him to fax me my results but he is suggesting IV antibiotics and i am thinking of trying oral first only because i was only on them for 3wks in 2009 and 2 weeks in 2010. Also because of the distance i wld have to travel to every day for 6-8 weeks for the IV injections. I can't afford that in addition to the loss in income fm not working. I am CONFUSED.

What is your question about the testing??
I would find another LLMD. There is no reason to go to a dr's office daily for IV injections. I personally would begin with orals. Orals got me well.
My question regarding the IgG's is if they are always negative but IgM's positive am I still Lyme positive, I've been told "False Positive because IgG's were negative.
Regarding IV injections for the antibiotics aren't they done in the doctors office once the picc line is in? I am very confused and have been reading alot of material but still need to clarify some things.

You are listening to doctors who don't know much about Lyme disease.
Most patients who use IV get the PICC line in place and then use home health care for infusion. You need to be wary of a dr who wants to do the infusions in his office. Conflict of interest.

It is VERY common with chronic, disseminated lyme. Your body is fooled into thinking it is an active infection and thus never makes IgG antibodies.
I'd say you have it. Find an LLMD

OMG I feel like I am at the beginning again!! Do I have this doc treat me orally? Or start over?? I dare not trust the IV now. If that is actually what I need then I need to find a doc who does this thru Home Care. He told me I go to him for the Picc line and the infusion 6-8 weeks he knows distance is a problem. My primary care offered to do infusion in his office if lyme doc does picc and provides the supplies and the lyme doc said no primary would have to be ordering physician. I don't know what to do now. I got no where with the two infec dis docs near me, do I go back to them with new lab results fm MDL lab, or just have the other one treat me orally??? The other two LLMD's are an hour and a half away further than the other guy.

- Too many red flags here. After hearing from you in the PM, I would say find another doctor. You can very likely get well with orals alone. It's worth a try.
