Recently got my test results back and they are as follows:
IGENEX IgG Western Blot: ** 39 kDa IND ** 41 kDA ++
IGENEX IgM Western Blot: 30 kDa + ** 39 kDa IND ** 41 kDa IND
I am so confused... my LLMD said this was a weak positive, but to me, it seems like it is negative. My CD57 was also 70, which I am told is low and could be indicative of Lyme? I have had so much testing done, and many neurological symptoms that have lasted for months. There were no lesions on my MRI but my symptoms are similar to MS. PLEASE help!

Band 39 is probably THE MOST SPECIFIC band for lyme that there is. IND means it is showing a weak positive..IND does not equal negative.
So..technically the test is negative, but it is very suggestive of exposure. Given your low CD57, I would say it is likely lyme (I'm not a doctor, btw)

I just don't know what to do. Since my blood results were a weak positive and my symptoms are so neurological, should I continue to follow up with a neurologist? Should I get another MRI? Lumbar puncture? I don't know how to procede since my test results seem to be so vague. I am so frustrated and do not know where to turn.
I had Lyme about 10 years ago, and it was treated with antibiotics for 30 days. My symptoms disappeared, but is it possible that what showed up on the IgeneX results is just from a previous infection and not from what is happening now at all? I feel like I am going crazy with all of this.

I forgot to mention - I have been on Doxy, Artemesin, and Spironil for about 2 months. Yesterday I was taken off of Doxy and put on another herbal tincture - Quintessence. I have improved a bit, but have had several relapses. I know this can also happen with MS so the whole thing is so confusing to me.

Forget the neuro, forget the lumbar puncture.. unless you want MORE trouble.
You need a good LLMD and continue treatment for Lyme. You will know by your response to the meds (either herxing or improvement) that you are on the right track.
bcb is right .. Band 39 is VERY specific and you have a weak positive. What else could make it show up except lyme? (nothing)
I think that I am improving slowly, but it is so hard to tell. Everything comes and goes, some symptoms only stay for a few minutes and then they are gone. It feels like I am making them up completely.

Very negative test, as band 31 and 39 seem like they come up IND for literally almost everyone on this site.
Can't hurt to try and treat and see what happens, maybe retest. Continue to rule things out.

Are there other people on the board who have had ''weak negatives'' like mine who got better with treatment?

* weak positive.

Your symptoms 10 years ago may have disappeared, but the infection was still there ( probably went dormant ).
The IgM is active infection. Not old. If it were just the IgG I'd be skeptical. But the IgM kind of says "Helloooo I'm still here".

it is a clinical diagnosis, I would treat and see how it goes
