Any advice of what to do before/during/after procedure?
I have heard Vitamin C after (but not before because it interferes w/ novacaine), breathe through your nose is another one.
Is it at all painful or similar to having a cavity filled?

Ditto to your lots of Vitamin C afterwards bit.
I always take chlorella tablets and grind them into a powder to swish around in my mouth several times then spit out DIRECTLY after the procedure- like in the dentist's restroom- to mop up any mercury that might be in my mouth. Also gargle with it, too, for any that might be in the throat.
I don't recall it being very painful, but I've never had more than one done at a time. Uncomfortable for sure, but not very painful.

I was asked to take 2 charcoal tablets [chewed] 15 minutes before each quadrant removal.
Ditto to lots of Vit C afterwards.
I presume you have a more long-term plan for getting rid of the stored metals?
Watch out for yeast problems after removal and be diligent with probiotic Look too for zinc deficiency.

I just had some done, and I took tons of chlorella as well as charcoal right before and after. I had novicaine for my removals as I was having other work done at the same time. I am now back on my Salt/C and probiotics and I will do mega doses of chlorella for several weeks. Felt fine after, no ill effects.

I had a mouthful done all at once (twelve) and i used sedation. I was such a nervous wreck (I was full of anxiety every day back then, though).
I felt a little silly afterward about all my anxiety - my dentist is a doll.
I went right to my LLMD's office directly from the dentist and had my first IV (Vit C and lots of minerals) and I think a DMPS push. I then did IV's to chelate the mercury and other metals every other week.
I feel blessed that my Lyme Dr. deals with the chelation.

All went well today. I did the charcoal rinse before and took a bunch of vitamin C after. I had all 4 removed.
So nice to not see any silver in my mouth and know I achieved another hurdle in overcoming health issues.
How long should I be on an increased dose of Vit C for? I didn't have chlorella though.
My LLNP recommended IV chelation but I don't have the time or money to go that route. My ND suggested dealing w/ candida first. Have some decisions to make!

Yay for you!
I can relate with your relief in having them all out!
Congratulations!
Increased Vitamin C can't hurt. I'd say keep up the dosage for 3-5 days then back down to whatever dosage you take normally.
Research binders and oral chelation or HPU/KPU protocol. Add something that will get the stores of mercury out of your body!

Just so glad I could help push you in the right direction for your health! I really feel this is an important step to stop the toxic overload!
Now that you are not being continuously poisoned, you can choose how to detoxify.
