Does anyone know if lyme or any of the co-infections can cause blood in urine?
I had blood in my urine 2 times in the years I was looking for a diagnosis. Things like cancer were ruled out both times and there was never a cause really found. Both times it resolved after a few moths.
I just started noticing blood in my urine. I am also having some abdominal cramping and nausea off and on.
I have never found anything indicating this can be an issue with lyme or coinfections but it makes me wonder since I have had this issue and none of the tests could ever find a cause.

Please let your doctors know about these symptoms as soon as possible. Remember that lyme is not the answer for everything, that you can have another condition needing attention. I found this out the hard way. I'm glad cancer was ruled out for you, n2themystic.

Babesia....
quote: "Symptoms of infection: Typically asymptomatic or, at most, mild flu-like and self-limiting.
Can develop into a malaria-like disease, with fever, chills, sweating, headache, and muscle ache.
Additional symptoms include joint pain, nausea, vomiting, and prostration.
Repeating episodes of clinical disease can persist for months eventually leading to anemia, jaundice, and blood in urine. "

In the past when I had severe Candida I had this symptom on occasion.
My doctor who I was seeing at the time told me not to worry, it was only a sign that my bladder was really irritated, he said.
It can be from a bad bladder infection.
I used concentrated cranberry juice (not the Ocean Spray stuff) and it cleared up. I got the concentrate from the healthfood stores, diluted it in juice or used water plus stevia, and drank it.
The ocean spray has too little of the cranberry plus it has high fructose corn syrup which will only feed the bugs and make the infection worse.
Lots of probiotics to follow up....
Ovarian cysts: Yes can be hormone related but also for me it was related to Candida infection. Cleared up after clearing the infection.
Castor oil hot packs helped the pain with the cysts a lot, for me.
Best wishes, CI

I had an appt with my llmd yesterday. He thinks its prostatitis and is putting me on dorax (sp?) and levaquin for 1 month.
If after 2 weeks things are not looking any better or if worse he will consider a cat scan to see if it could be something else.
This is the 3rd time this has happened and he thinks its not something scary like cancer since we have ruled those out the last 2 times.
