Hi,
I have been batteling lymes for about 4 years,
ive finally decided I need to go to a lymes specialist since I seem to be getting worse.

I am limited on money so I need to put my money in the right place.

Could I get anyones imput on where my money will be the best spent....

Ive heard about Igenex lab test....do you all think that would be the best lab?

also ive heard about a test called ASYRA
what is the overall thoughts on that?
do most feel it is accurate at detecting coinfections etc?

im running out of money and obviously not working so I need to find out, if I can, what im dealing with in the way of coinfections, so I can be treated properly,

im having siezures which is my newest addition to my list of ailments.

I really need a lymes for dummies book because alot of this stuff makes no sense to me...so any explanation in layman terms would be great.

thank you [confused]

I don't personally know anything about ASYRA.

The best lab I know of is Igenex. You can get the Western Blot for around $200.

www.igenex.com Test #188 & 189

Call for the test kit and when it comes you take it to your LLMD or a doctor who will sign off on it. When you get the blood drawn (EARLY in the week) you send it by FedEx and pay for it at that time.

Stop any antibiotics 14 days before the blood draw.

You need to be prepared that most LLMD's do not accept insurance. It's a costly disease :/

Sorry you are feeling worse

I believe the IGeneX lab is offering a 75% discount for those qualifying as low-income, which it sounds like you do. You can call them at 1-800-832-3200 to discuss.
