A week ago i started to develop symptoms of throbbing noise. It comes back and forth when i breath or move. It's not so loud but quiet subtle as if you could hear the clouds and it pops once in a while to.
I have had ringing in the ear but nut such obvious sounds! This is annoying the crap out of me. It's been a week! It comes and goes throughout the day!
Does anyone get such symptoms and if so can this go away with treatment? I hope its not permanent or else this is really bothersome to live with Posted by steve1906 (Member # 16206) on :
Hi sonee123, ear problems are very common with Lyme Disease, such as:
Decreased hearing in one or both ears, plugged ears

Thank you steve! It's kind of new and really bothersome. Like you can hear the clouds roaring. It comes and goes throughout the day and it's quite irritating and bothersome.

Can you go to an ENT to see what they say?
There are many possibilities here. Could be Lyme, could be spring allergies, could be a side-effect, if you are on any meds that cause ear problems.
If you are on meds (I believe you said you are in another post), fully check the side-effect profile of each. If any has tinnitus or other ear problems, let your dr know ASAP. Some med-caused
otoxic effects are permanent. And some are supposedly temporary, but I've experienced permanent tinnitus, from Zithromax, and also Biaxin. Don't disregard this.
There's a great book called Ototoxic Drugs Exposed by Neil Bauman that goes into this in total detail for each drug. It's expensive. But you can also read a fair amount of this online on his website or on Amazon.
The popping sounds like ear/nose/throat congestion that pops when it opens up. That's more likely either allergies or getting over being sick.

I do take Biaxin. I had stopped on it for a while but now i am taking it 500mg everyday for Lyme. That is the only med i take for now.

I get the same thing! Its like your ear drum is twitching. I asked my Drs if that was possible and they say absolutely! Every other muscle in the body can twitch why not the ones in our ears?
The only thing I can suggest is to try to take more calcium, magnesium, and potassium.
I totally understand and I know how *CRAZY* it can drive you! I hope that you can find relief somehow.

I especially get it at night! Sometimes it goes away for hours! Its like a constant roaring for a sec like thrrrrrrrrr and then goes away?!

Yes, night time seems to be particularly bad. My ears ring constantly, nonstop, 100% of the time. With added throbbing, snapping, cracking, popping, twitching, etc.
It is indeed VERY annoying. I don't know, I guess I just deal with it. I tend to just deal with all my symptoms.
