So I am going to confess I am working on a project to outline health issues in general. I will be setting up a website and I hope to get the opinions of experts in setting this up. To summarize we hope to set out some categories and topics which effectively outline the issue, to then provide summaries, and then to provide links to resources and larger summaries.
So one of the first issues I wanted to take on was chelation. Here is a link which is featured under the wikipedia article on chelation that questions provaoation tests ability to estimate previous metal exposure.
It is interesting to note the claim does not question whether provacation tests indicate general body burden, but only that they do not estimate previous exposure. This of course begs the question of whether exposure equals body burden. So I am wondering if anyone is aware of trials which indicate provacation tests are in fact indicators of previous metal exposure. I am also looking for any results which show chelation therapies which have resulteds in demonstrable symptom relief. I have seen several which show a lowering of levels after chelation therapy, but I have not seen then associate with symptomology.
If anyone has commments or general comments on the issue of heavy metals and chelation should be outlined, I welcome the input.
Hopefully I am not crossing any lines. I hope to make the site, and or project, open source and non profit
