Anyone here suffering teeth issues? I know my dentist has no clue. want information on what to do or suggestions I can make to my dentist to help myself. My bridges no longer fit. I scrape my tongue along teeth and it's driving me crazy.

I have sooo many dental issues. Please check out the book "Cure Tooth Decay". I haven't read it yet, but was just given it to read by my new dentist.

I had endodontist visit today - fearing I needed root canals my teeth hurt so badly. But no - I am clinching my jaws and grinding my teeth - which causes nerve and ligament pain and teeth shifting. So will be fitted for a guard.
Will mention - years ago went to rheumy for pain - Dx fibro and was given Rx for Cymbalta. Within two weeks of taking that drug I started clinching my jaws and my teeth felt like they were being electrified. I could not open my mouth or chew. Went to friend's highly recommended dentist who had never heard of tooth/jaw pain from AD's. Stopped the drug and those symptoms resolved. Started Sertraline - which I am still on. If it is doing anything for pain I could not tell. I hurt everywhere regardless. I think Sertraline (Zoloft) does effect my teeth like Cymbalta but not nearly as bad. I want to stop that drug but am afraid of withdrawal. Perhaps this info can help others. I am seldom able to help here.

I love the Weleda toothpastes. Not for taste, but for what they do. When I started using hte pink toothpaste with myrrh (which contracts and firms swollen gum tissues) my dentist said that within less than two weeks when I returned to her, the gums were more firm and there was less bleeding than she had expected given the gum disease I had.
I too have oral problems and my LLMD said it's related to the lyme for sure.
I use the Weleda mouthwash and it helps me a lot too.
The Calendula toothpaste tastes more like licorice and I have found it firms up my gums too.

Sounds like you have a bite issue. Has your dentist ck'd your bite? If bridges aren't fitting and your tongue is going places it's not used to, sounds like your bite has changed.
Do you have TMJ problems that have displaced your bite?

Teeth issues for me were Bart related (since Bart damages the nerves - I had real sensitive teeth until I treated Bart)

Very interesting, Canefan and Carol. Thank you both, you have both helped me, just so you know!
I suspect that after starting and stopping bactrim (I absolutely in this wildest world had no choice! what a severe impact, oh my god I am so allergic) that my bartonella may have come back stronger. Soles of feet more painful than before and other symptoms flaring much louder...and I had not connected the fact that my teeth hurt more since then too. I didn't have this kind of oral pain before taking....the antibiotic....which is supposed to be a medication....not a poison that almost killed me....
