I've been taking Doxy 3 months, Azith 2 (then stopped due to tinnitus), Rifamprin 1 month and now Bactrim. All to cover Lyme and Bart.

This week I came down with shortness of breath, night sweats, felling tipsy, insomnia...even though initially negative, my LLMD wants to treat for Babs - Malarone (LLMD does not like Mepron) and Artemisinin - pulsing 5 days on and 5 days off.

I thought rifamprin could interfere with Malarone?

Anyway, what do you think and what can I expect based on your experiences?

I like malarone-but my LLMD wants to switch to mepron. You can start with 2 pills a day and work up (I take 4 pills a day).

Rifampin lowers the effectiveness of mepron/malarone and both are hard on the liver.
