On biaxin and mepron-to add in ceftin. Anyone know what type of lyme (cyst, cell wall etc) they work against?

Are you going to add in Plaquenil, too? Plaquenil makes the Biaxin work harder, is antimalarial, and might work for cysts.
Biaxin is for gram negative, ceftin for spirochetes.

Gram negative what?
Posted by sixgoofykids (Member # 11141) on :
Gram negative is a form of bacteria, it's when bacteria lacks the cell wall. The borrelia goes into this form.
Ceftin is for the spirochete form.

Thank you!

Don't forget about the biofilm.. That will also have to be addressed at some point.

What are they using for biofilm?
I am treating a relapse-I was in total remission-relpased after around 3 months-babs and lyme.
I think biofilms and cysts were the cause-my LLMD never had me do a cyst buster for more than 3 days at a time!

I think they are reluctant to use the cyst busters because there are risks involved, however, the benefits in this case outweigh the risks, IMO.. 3 days a week may not be enough.. but if you take them daily you should not exceed 2 months.
There are several things you can use for biofilms: lumbrokinase, nattokinase, serrapeptase, buoluke (sp?), and recently added samento and banderol to that list.. according the bio-resources conference.

Haritaki found in triphala has also been found to help with biofilms .... among other things.
I only did four months of tindamax one week per month.
I did take plaquenil and grapefruit seed extract, both of which are mild cyst busters according to my LLMD.

Lululymemom, Why are taking cyst busters for a long time risky? I am just curious. Thanks for your help.

My daughter took Flagyl for 2 months.. That is not a long time considering how long others have spent on this drug. It is a very effective cyst buster.. She was newly infected last March and in new cases I believe abx are the way to go. I have been infected a very long time and only use natural products. Currently I am 85-90% and so is she..
Sorry, I just read back your question and I misinterpreted what you had asked..
Using Flagyl/Tindamax is risky because they have been known to cause cancer in mice.. I believe Plaquenil falls into that category as well. This is one drug that should be researched prior to use. It was the one thing that caused a major turn in my daughter's symptoms, so I believe it was the right thing to do at the time.

Luluymemom, I'm curious, what natural products are you using? If you are currently 85-90%, they are really working. Thank you.

gailth, I have used several natural products that have included Teasel, wormwood, resveratrol, red root, A-Bart, serrapeptase, vitex, chitosan, cat's claw, and currently colloidal silver.
I also use mag. citrate, COQ10, RNA, Siberian Ginseng(eleuthro), sublingual B12 everyday..
I eat a vegetarian diet and exercise everyday. This is the best I have felt in 10 years... This is not to say that I may not have bad days, because I dont believe you can completely eradicate this disease once it becomes chronic but for 2 months I have felt great!
It may have been relevant that I removed the last amalgam that I had just over 2 months ago.

I use Lumbrokinase , Nattokinase and Lauricidin with Zithro and Omnicef .
Posted by lululymemom (Member # 26405) on :
That's a good combo, just have to consider the cyst form..
I noticed that you posted Lauricidin being a cyst buster.. That is interesting information and I was wondering if you can provide a link. I have never heard this although I know it is a good option as an alternative to abx.

Is Lauricidin a cyst buster? I never heard that one, but I have taken for long stretches of a time. My Lyme is under control, but I relapsed withy mycoplasma pneu.
