What can I take to kill the cyst form of Lyme? I am on Augmentin and I know that can push the lyme into cyst form. I would like to hit the cyst form now rather than waiting on my doc to finish Babesia, then Bart ect...
I read an article by Dr. Schaller saying that one should be on a cyst buster from the start, with any lyme med. Rather than wait until the lyme transforms then you have a million cysts and you have to take Flagyl and you get a herx from hell!
Im getting annoyed that I was not put on anything for yeast or cysts from the beginning. "Hmmm, lets wait until she develops the inevitable and then treat it!" Why don't these LLMD's prevent rather than treat some of this stuff!
I know that Grapefruit seed extract is a good one but are there any other herbs ect.?

Maybe coptis from Zhang - does anyone know?

The GSE that busts cysts may just work because it contains benzethonium chloride, a toxic preservative used in hand sanitizers.

I m not sure of the details but I ve read in several places that Raw Garlic can act as a cyst buster, in addition to of course to its other anti microbial properties.
That being said I eat one clove (raw) every other day or so and I definitely feel an increase in herxish type symptoms most of the time after doing so.
especially the next morning, almost feel hungover, of course this could just be from some regular bug die off. But it usually seems a little more intense than ABX alone.

Thank you both. I will look up coptis.
Onbam-While researching GSE I found that all of them contain the chemical you mentioned and it is very toxic.
So I suppose this is not a good idea. Others report it helps cysts, babesia and yeast but I wonder how harmful it really is?

gryphon- we must have posted at the same time, cuz I missed yours.
Thats very interesting about the garlic. I actually just started doing that to help control yeast, but was unaware it is a cyst buster. This is very good news for me. I hope it works. That garlic is potent and burns my tongue (I have thrush so I chew it). I have felt more dizzy after taking it but I assumed it was a yeast reaction, maybe its both!
Woot Woot! Getting some good advice here. Thank you!!
Marine- Just curious if you use this and notice its effects on cysts or yeast?

for RAW GARLIC:
I "mince" mine and shove them into capsules. This is good, eh?
Just seems like it would break down easier that way vs. cutting up clove chunks and swallowing whole.

If you want garlic there is zhang's alicin which is so concentrated the smell makes me gag. People do not usually last very long on it. I took GSE for a long time with no side effects.
Why not just pulse an antibiotic like tindamax?
Posted by jadams (Member # 28016) on :
I would like to pulse tindamax but my doctor does not want to start on that yet even though I thing it should be done from the beginning.
Im trying to find a way around it.
Nefferdum- did GSE help you?

I asked you on the other thread about lauricidin being a cyst buster.. I must be missing something because I can't find anywhere that it says that.

jadams, this is a very interesting link about natural antibiotics.
Speaking of garlic... I like Allimax (active ingredient= allicin, the good stuff in garlic that you have to get via mushing it up to activate). It goes down w/virtually no taste, for me no burping or garlicky anything afterwards. Downside= rather pricey.

My son and I both were taking GSE capsules for a few months.
Did not notice much improvement or side effects at all.
Now he is on Tindamax and I am on Flagyl, both of us are having good results.
