17 year IgG/IgM Ab was .47 Told she absolutely does not have lyme. Has had symptoms for at least 3 months but more likely 6 months. Does this really rule out Lyme? Had been on just a regular RX of amoxycillin for four days(for another issue) when testing was done.

A negative ELISA/IFA never rules out Lyme. And since she was on abx when tested, that's even more likely to be a meaningless result. There is no test that can prove Lyme is not present.
Suggest you find an LLMD for proper testing, diagnosis, and if necessary, treatment.

You need to have a western blot done. Many people who do have lyme have a negative ELISA.
I'm dealing with the same thing with my son. Ever since I was diagnosed with lyme, I swear my son has it. I asked his pediatrician to draw blood for him to be tested for lyme. He agreed but wouldn't send it to Igenex. I figured...WTH...I'll give it a chance but he never even had the WB done because the ELISA was negative.
I was trying to save some time and money and get a head start but I'm actually calling my LLMD today to see if he will see my son as well. I swear this disease is going to drain me of my savings! But I don't care. The more I learn about lyme...the more convinced I am that I've had for a long time and that my son has it as well. We'll see.
As Razzle said...find an LLMD and make an appt.

its important to have the correct western blot done...don't waste money on just any western blot---some labs don't use all bands
igenex is best..but others are good. hope someone else can say which ones

I've read here that Igenex is the best. Quest Lab is 2nd choice.
I tested positive with the western blot through Quest. It depends on who you talk to, but they are both the "go to" labs for Lyme/coinfections
