Do you know where it states malarone is better for ducani?
I want to show my LLMD. I think I do better on malarone, but they switched me to mepron

Not 100% sure, but I think I read this in the Dr B notes someone posted in the last month or so. Will try to look up a reference if I can find it.
I do remember that the LLMD who used to write the LymeMD blog said several times in his blogs that malarone worked better -- not sure if he was specific as to the strain of babesia -- just think he had better luck with patients who took malarone than mepron.

I think if you could find Dr B's notes-that would be great-didn't see it in his march summary notes.
Thank you

I'm pretty sure Malarone is never considered more effective than Mepron. All Malarone is is a weaker version of the same drug (atovaquone). Some LLMDs call Malarone "Mepron Lite"

Mepron = atovaquone.
Malarone = atovaquone + proguanil hydrochloride.
Some have better luck with one or the other.

Not really-it has a second ingredient in it-some do say it's better for Ducani
