i wake up nauseous and sick to my stomach. any food makes me sick.
i go to bed about 9 or 10. i sleep with three pillows. after about an hour or so i wake up with my stomach hurting, the area between where the ribs curve in the middle.
the pain goes down also about 2-3 inches and over to each side below the ribs.
the heart starts pounding so hard and it feels like it's going to come out my back between the shoulder blades.
i'll get sharp stabbing pains in the sides of my breast and under my arms.
then the stabbing pains in my head and even my eyes, which really hurt. they're like ant stings.
i have difficulty swallowing and feel like i'm going to choke, the heart rate goes up and i start sweating really bad. my elbows, knees, face and neck all start pouring sweat.
then i start shaking and feel weak. sometimes i get up and have diahhrea.
i go out on the sofa and sit and try to calm down. my bp is usually over 140 or so.
this happens alot and it's wearing me down because i don't sleep.
i'll calm down go back to sleep but then i wake up again in a hour or so.
as soon as my eyes open, i'm sick to my stomach.
does anybody else get this? i swear, i'm exhausted and really, i don't care if i wake up at all. i'm so tired all the time.
i've been much much worse since i did the humaworm cleanse. could that have caused my lyme to start flaring really bad? i sort of wish i had not done it at all, cause now i'm so much worse off.
anybody???

I'm sorry that I don't have any real input for you, I just feel badly that you're suffering like that.. Maybe someone else will be along with suggestions.. Hang in there.

Randibear,
I wondering whether it's possible that you are experiencing low blood sugar attacks, especially given your description of what happened at the restaurant the other day.
Some of your symptoms (rapid heart rate, increased blood pressure, shaking, sweating, weakness, nausea) sound a lot like what happen to me and the symptoms of hypoglycemia. I don't get any pain in my ribs, but I sometimes get horrendous pressure in the ribcage and stomach area.
Have you tried eating or drinking anything when this happens? You might try drinking about 4 oz. of juice (I use apple juice) the next time it happens to see if that helps. Follow that up in 15 or 20 minutes with some protein like a few nuts, some peanut butter on a piece of apple or something similar.

It could be your adrenals as well. Low adrenal function will cause shaking, nausea, blood pressure spikes, high heart rate, and diarrhea.
You should get your adrenals checked through saliva testing.
Sorry you feel lousy!

This sounds like what I used to experience. I found out I was having panic attacks that were triggered by hypoglycemia.
Now, I eat a small protein snack before bed. It has helped.

wow randi, I hope you figure this one out. I would be very frightened.
I used to have tremendous things happen to me at night. Neuro stuff that was scarey. I used to get attacks that made me feel like I was a Christmas tree.
A Christmas tree lit up with thousands of twinkling lights. Sometimes it was one side of body but mainly both sides.
I used to have horrible pain in my sternum area when I would lay down. Between my breast the hard bone/rib felt like someone was taking their fist and slamming into that area.
Restless legs, everyone has heard of it but I had restless legs and arms. It would wake me up time after time all night long.
I do not experience night time troubles anymore and I can't tell you why they stopped. Restless body I did take Pycnogenol in large doses for one month. Someone on this site said try it, it works. Sure enough I've never had episode in maybe 3-4 years.
Now that I think back I was so toxic at that time. I often say I was a walking talking toxin.
Since I've done some major detoxing over the years, I'd say it was neuro-toxins that caused some of the weird stuff that happened at night when my mind and body couldn't rest.
Whether that was dead bacteria, chemical toxins, meds like abx, or any of the thousands of things I've done and changed over the years? I don't know. I was a detox fool for many years and learned a great deal of removing micro, neuro toxins from reading Gigi and some others.
I hope it's something you can fix or get rid of quickly....we must have our deep sleep to heal. Sleep, peaceful sleep is vital.

Another thought--did you have, or are you having a lot of diarrhea? If so, that can deplete your magnesium, which in turn can cause hypoglycemia and all kinds of problems.

I am voting on adrenals here. I had something similar for a while. I was able to sleep longer than an hour usually unless I exerted myself that day.
If you were like me I had bad reactions to any sleep pill, so I just layed in the tub and tried to sleep.. I know not smart but I was desperate and the tub is small.
PM me if you want some info on good adrenal supps.
