Greetings all, I have what I believe is the erythema migrans rash. This whole saga started with me getting bit by "something". Itchy bumps on ankles, waist, and breast. They went away. More appeared. They went away. More appeared. This has been going on for a month now. One looked just like a bullseye. They are getting worse. All the while I am doing research and learning about Lyme Disease. Exterminator said nothing in the house. Doctors treating me like a fool. I started having all the symptoms of Lyme. But at any rate...the rash...anybody know of any remedies beside hyrocortisone cream? Some itch. Some hurt. Some big. Some small. All are real red. This is driving me nuts!

I don't believe what you are experiencing is typical of lyme disease. However, it sounds somewhat similar to what happened to me, which I believe was the start of my lyme disease.
I began getting a number of red, itchy rashes about as big as nickles on my legs. First five, then more, and more, for a grand total of 13. They lasted for more than a month--maybe 2 or 3 months total. They itched so very bad.
I got a cream from a dermatologist. I put it on all the time and a lot of it. It helped some.
Most doctors will not even consider lyme in this situation. But, a lyme doctor will go by the other lyme symptoms you are now experiencing and treat you based on that.
You are the first person I have met in 9 years of lyme experience who spoke of a number of small, red rashes. It is typically one rash and it expands. Mine never expanded. They came and stayed at the nickel size.
By the way, I got rid of my lyme disease by going to a doctor who followed the Burrascano lyme treatment guidelines found here:
I recommend that everyone read and STUDY this document to get their education on this disease and how it should be treated.
In April it was 6 years since I completed my treatment, and I am still symptom free, enjoying my life.
I went from doctor to doctor for 10 years trying to find one who would take me seriously and figure out what was wrong with me. Finally, after 10 years one thought of lyme and tested me.
So, if this just happened to you, be happy that you are catching it quick. Get in with a good lyme doctor and get rid of it.
Sorry that I don't know what to tell you to do for relief of those terrible itchy red rashes. Perhaps if you get started on some good lyme meds you will get relief. Nobody ever thought of lyme for my case, so I never had the chance to try antibiotics when I was going nuts with my 13 red rashes on my legs.
And, they looked absolutely horrible!!

i only got one bullseye on the back of my leg. it was a perfect one tho. the center was white, filled with pus and itched like crazy. it lasted about two weeks or so. about the size of a half dollar.
went away and no more rashes.

Erythema migrans may be associated with Lyme/coinfections. Suggest you consult an LLMD for diagnosis/treatment especially since you have other symptoms consistant with Lyme.
For the itching: Maybe Benadryl cream or Peppermint essential oil would help...
I have gotten a series of round rashes myself recently - all of them feel scaly/rough to touch and they are the size of a quarter or half-dollar (US coins). They're disappearing now that I've stopped eating food again (gastroparesis flare has me on TPN only/nothing by mouth or through my feeding tube), leading me to think possibly that they're allergic in nature in my case...but I don't know to what I am reacting. I also popped out with a rash on my leg that was diagnosed as possible Erethema Nodosum (panniculitis - inflammation of the fat layer under the skin), but it is now also going away (finally...).

Erythema migrans =Lyme and it is possible to biopsy the rash and find the bacterium there.
