Has anyone had horrible back pain from babesia?

I have had Lyme since 2000, but not diagnosed until last November.

Have struggled with horrible lower back problems for most of that time, including a couple of herniated discs.

I read somewhere that Lyme and coinfections can cause back problems.

I started treatment in November and I notice my back feels better. In fact, better than it has for the last 5 years. Don't know if that's a coincidence or the abx are helping.

Or, it may be that I lost 40 pounds since November from doing the yeast free/sugar free diet.

Sorry you are having bad back pain. Over the past ten years I have tried accupuncture, massage, spinal injections and drugs to try to overcome the pain. Nothing helped.

Finally getting some relief. Take care and good luck to you.

PS: Taking Mepron, Maelron, Ceftin, Biaxin, Flagyl, Plaquenil.

I had a lot of lower back pain and neck pain before treatment. It is nearly gone now. I notice whenI do flare...I typically get back pain and this is usually along with very Babs like symptoms (Sweats / air hunger.)

I have really bad back pain with the babesia. I can't walk for very long without the need to sit down. I'm hunching all the time. I have to sit down after I do 2 min (out of 30) of light weightlifting. I also can't go on a walk for very long without my back hurting (15 min). My meds are helping though (zyth, mepron, amox & diflucan, plus A LOT of herbs). Some days are better than others. If I lift something like a heavy bag of groceries, though, my back hurts again, even on a good day.

I also see a chiropractor. She does the "activator treatment". Feels better. Hang in there!

it seems to be fleeting.... I woke up with the same pains. But by Afternoon, it had gone, and I then had a bad pain in my elbow for about 2 hours.
I asked this question because 2 hours after taking my first dose of Malarone yesterday, I started getting a lot of symptoms(sweating, brain zaps, dizziness, a very hot feeling in my head - to name a few). Nothing I felt was debilitating, but it definitely tired me out. It was out of the ordinary. I have not had back pain in a very long time, over a year. So when all of the sudden it popped up, I wondered if the Malarone was hitting something and causing all this stuff....
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
