Can anyone tell me if there is a big difference between the IV and the IM Invanz? Does anyone happen to know the out-of-pocket cost of this med for someone who doesn't have insurance? Thank you!

I used the IV for a couple of months. Insurance paid most, but I think the pre-insurance cost was $6,000 a month. This was not just for the drug, but for all the other services related to it--the nursing and supplies.

Wow. That is quite expensive. Did it help?

I'm on IV Invanz, the cash price per month for the med alone is $3,900.

I think they have a patient assistance for people who don't have insurance, I'm trying to find out about that... I hope so. Is the Invanz helping?

I have only been on this for 11 days so it's too early to tell. I think they said a least a month to know?

Yes, it sure is expensive, no doubt about that. Yes, it did help a lot. I was taking it along with a rotation of tindamax and alinia. I stopped after insurance stopped covering it. While I eventually backslid after stopping, I eventually started up on orals and have continued to make progress.

I tried Invanz for 3 months and it didn't help me at all.... sorry. And, my out of pocket was almost $1,300 per month even after the insurance paid for it.
