I was interested in all your lyrica expereinces. I read the possible side effects ....and holy moly... kinda concerned given my mcs severity.

and the fact it can cause so many symptoms i have like dizziness shakyness and whatnot.... that is why I always avoided it..but the pain is so bad. How long am i supposed to go without being able to sit upright or anything?

DiD it help your pain? how much? how fast?

or any bad reactions?

or anything else you would have wanted to know before trying it.

Thank you

I didn't think it was helping that much when I was on it. When I had to stop it (because my insurance changed and refused to cover it) I realized that it did help a good deal.

It helped me sleep better and deeper. I didn't wake as much at night. It also helped reduce nerve pain that would wake me and keep me up at night.

When I first started taking Lyrica it made me feel a little woosy and spacey. It was weird but not bad. That only lasted a couple days. When I had to wean off the medicine I was scared that it would make me feel sick. I was able to work down the dose over approx 2wks without difficulty.

If my insurance would cover it again I would consider going back on the Lyrica. It did help my sleep and it did help with nerve pain.

If you decide to try it, pay close attention to your symptoms. They should gradually get better over a couple weeks as the dose stabilizes in your body.

I used it for sleep, but a wonderful side-effect of it was that it took away some pain.

It was one of the only meds that helped with my (nerve) pain so I was very happy with it. Unfortunately my hair started falling out severely within 10 weeks of starting it. Hair is still not the same 2 years later.

I used it for about a year and a half. It dulled the pain, but never got rid of it. I did experience slight symptoms of feeling loopy, but it got a little better the longer I took it.
