I was going to record my entire history here because although I think I may indeed have lyme disease from a tick bite 19 years ago with symptoms ranging from brown floaters to memory loss to arthritis to neurological issues, but as of yet am undiagnosed.
What is now concerning is that I have developed some very strange veins. Now I have had 4 pregnancies, two of which were successful in bringing me the two biggest blessings of my life. After all my pregnancies I had NO spider or varicose veins. In fact, friends would comment on how "lucky" I was not to get any veins or stretchmarks on my legs or stomach (breasts make up for it though;-)).
Just over the last year, however, I have developed strange new veins. First, I noticed long blue ones traveling up the inside of my forearms and from my toes, along the top of my foot to my ankles. I also see streaking on the sides of my breasts.
I noticed a few months ago there are some that have a honeycomb-like appearance on the lower trunk of my body (more prominent on the left side) - perfect honeycombs (don't know how else to describe it), which travel over my hips. I swear I am not crazy - and when my husband saw it he said "you need to get to a doctor" because these are completely new and have suddenly appeared. Just in the last month they have moved down into my legs so that a web of blue veins are now all over the backs of my thighs. I don't know what is going on but I work out 3 to 4 days a week (despite no energy) and weigh 120 lbs, so this cannot be from lack of oxygen (but who knows).
Has anyone experienced this? Is this a lyme symptom or am I barking up the wrong tree? My oldest son has developed new blue veins along his forehead and when I pointed it out the pediatrician looked at my as though I am psychotic.
Thank you for your kind attention and I appreciate any thoughts on the matter.
Many Blessings,
LinGA

I'm having a big problem with new veins popping up. I'm told this is possibly bart and the more I think about it, I think so too. My thighs are horrible and now I'm getting some on my lower legs as well.
I don't even want to wear shorts! I'm thinking about going to the tanning salon to try and hide them!
does the streaking on the side of your breasts kinda look like stretch marks? That could be bart too.

I have to agree with Philly78...Bartonella. My lyme doctor was the one who pointed them out to me as my veins became much more noticiable. Bartonella is known to invade your vascular system and cause a narrowing of your vessel walls.

Philly - Yes, the streaking does look like stretch marks, but it's like my skin is thinning out and my collagen is wearing away. If I showed you a picture from last summer and you look at me now, I look like I have aged five years since then.
Bearly - How do I find out if I have Bartonella? Could this have been passed to my boys in utero??
Thank you:-)

It's most likely ACA (Acrodermatitis Chronica Atrophicans) - which is indicative of Chronic Lyme
Click through the pictures on the link below - you'll see the 'honeycomb' look on the legs
Thank you, Julie. I think you just confirmed it for me - my hands look like those in a couple of pics and I get a lot of swelling at random times. I just hope I can find a good LLMD in FL that will recognize this.
