Hey all! I was doing some searching to see if blood in the urine was related to lyme or any of the co's. I recently had a three day period where I was peeing blood.
I had blood work drawn and a urine analysis and culture were sent. No UTI. I ruled out kidney stones as well.
The blood came on suddenly...no pain...and then just stopped, three days later.
I read that this can be caused by babesia. Right now I'm treating for lyme and bart. What I'm wondering is if anyone else has/had this symptom and if so...was it related to something other than babesia?
Up until now, I didn't think I had babs. I actually tested negative via Igenex for both the babs and bart but am treating bart anyway. But now I'm thinking I may have cause to be concerned about babs.
Thoughts?

Have you seen a urologist? Gotta get this checked out immediately.

Yeah, I know. Not sure what else the urologist will do. Maybe a cystoscopy I guess. I've already ruled out more common ailments that would cause it.

It could be an infection, stones, or other. The key is that it's not normal and is *potentially* serious. If it is serious, you want to be on top of it so you can square it away. Don't delay, get it checked out ASAP.

Infection and stones were ruled out. But you're right. I just really don't feel like going to a urologist! Lol.
