My eyes have been a constant source of misery for me over the years. If left untreated you can develop ulcers and they are very painful. I have to use steroid/abx drops to heal them.

Why not see an eye doctor and ask him for some eye drops to quiet things down. Also be sure to wear sunglasses...even inside if necessary. Sometimes I wear the eye mask my granddaughter made for me because I simply cannot stand the light in our very bright house.

I read eye stuff can be from bartonella. Do you happen to have that?

I get this from allergies (pollen - trees/grass/weeds, and animals/dogs/cats). I use homeopathic eye drops (made by Boiron, called "Optique 1" - good for many different causes of eye irritation and dry-eye) and it seems to help most of the time. If it doesn't work, I then use Zaditor mast-cell stabilizer eyedrops and they seem to help a lot with allergy related eye irritation.

It could be a herx reaction. I had burning eyes when i was treating bartonella. It resolved after a few weeks.

my tears burn my skin and make my cheeks red and stingy. my eyes swell (orbits) the whites become red/pink, gunky in the a.m., light sensitive. and horrendous pain behind eye.

almost all symptoms are on my left eye- except for drooping that is on my right side.

I don't know which infection that it is, but one of them causes this...when i used humaworm, it was at its worst.

are you on a med that has a high propensity to SJS? You're speaking of Steven- Johnson Syndrome, right? Or are you referring to dry eye dry mucous membranes? Sojrens (sp)

My son has STICKY eyes, and I am so damb tired of it.

I do not know what to do. He pulls on his lids, sometimes upper, mostly lower.

I'm coming down to the end of Bart treatment. may revisit Babs, but I'm beginning to think he will be miserable for the rest of his little life.

ck for parasites, 2roads

Which ones feelfit?

Do you mean Babesia or other?

I agree with you. I just don't know which it is. If it requires more Mepron or I need to go back to Humaworm, or....ugh.

How can I even check?

I worry about Hookworm and a variety of other parasites that live in a Beagle's poop shipped from Texas. My son admitted to trying some four years ago. He was young.

The mutt did end up with Hook worm, but I thought that can't live forever. it eventually dies off.

His Ferritin levels are so low the doctor is starting to trend them.

Hookworm will not die out of its own volition...please get your son treated for that! It can cause anemia and low ferritin is a good indicator that he's anemic.

'other' 2roads. All I know is humaworm exacerbated my eye symptoms. I have never tested for parasites, besides babesia.

i have heard of doctors using ivermectin for eye parasites. I have not tried and do not know whether or not this is a viable option. You could ask your sons doctor about it.

I will ask the doctor again about that Razzle. My son was given Vermox, I think 2 or 4 pills at that time for hookworm.

I'm not sure that was ever enough.

If "other" feelfit, then what comes to mind and what did you use?

I worry about drops in his eyes because he's only 9.
