my doc in germany says ceftin is only good in early lyme. but i have the feeling, many americans use it successful in late stage chronic lyme!

is that correct?

if yes, would one choose rather ceftin oder cefdinir?

thx

I have late stage chronic lyme (sick for over 30 years) and Ceftin definitely helped me.

My son and I are seeing a new LLMD, and he prescribed Ceftin for my son as well (he has congenital lyme).

In my personal experience, that's two very good LLMDs who both use it for chronic lyme.

Yes, it's used in chronic Lyme. I can't advise on ceftin and cefdinir.

You should take flagyl or tinidazole with it.

I've been treating 3 years, and Ceftin is one of the only rx's that did help me. I am currently back on it.
