He's updating his Healing Lyme book in the spring of 2012 and the focus will be on co-infections (specifically Bartonella - "the toughest infection to treat" in his opinion)
I asked him what herbs he considers the best to use against Bartonella.
Knotweed Red root Isatis Sida acuta Cats claw
I'd love to hear some feedback on Isatis and Sida Acuta.
I've never heard of those 2 herbs.

Just an FYI.

Sida acuta contains alkaloids, including cryptolepine.

What are alkaloids?

I use all of the above...I feel that CC, KW and red root have a great impact on Borrelia. Bartonella is another story though. I have used Sida Acuta for a while and suspect it's great for Babesia, i don't feel that in my case it helps with bart. I tried Isatis and definitely felt much better on it. But was told to only take it for two weeks because it's such a strong herb. So i'm waiting for the new book for dosages and instructions. Buhner also mentioned that L-Argenine helps and Hawthorn root. I do use l-argenine and feel that it helps, but i usually need to take several doses to feel relief.

where do you get the Isatis?

But now3 Buhner likes a tincture, so i've been making my own.

sida acuta can be purchased at Woodland Essence along with cryptolepsis

Quintessence and Viressence -
Look at the ingredients at Biopureus website. Both have all Buhner and everything in it that one can think off, and more, and they are used together if needed. It is an all around mixture and makes life very simple without getting umpteen bottles and capsules.
