Has anyone tried this for Lyme. I think that my Dr. is the only one in the U.S. doing it for Lyme. I believe that it is quite common for cancer.
The point of it is to inject Insulin into your port or picc line, lower your blood sugar to 30. Then IV push antibiotics and other meds. By lowering the blood sugar, you're supposed to be able to break the blood brain barrier.
Then he brings my blood sugar up once everything is absorbed and gives me a myers cocktail after.
Anyone experienced with this??

I think, could be wrong, that Springshowers may have done it or at least researched it.

I would be very careful about public conversation of alternative treatments like this.

i never heard of this, but being diabetic and getting low blood sugars of 40 and being on abx has not helped me. having a blood sugar of 40 does not feel good and is dangerous. I wouldnt do it.

My MD got upset when my lab test showed a blood glucose of 60. She said brain cells die when it is that low.
No way would I consider bringing it down to 30. I've seen my dad go into a coma with low blood sugars.

Yes I have done this treatment. I did a couple months worth of this treatment and I had success with it....... but sadly it was the nursing staff and such that had made me stop due to safety issues.
I do not believe the procedure is unsafe at all and wish I had better people around who were doing the procedure for me.

Hi springshowers, thank you for responding to me. Do you remember what the doctors protocol was after he dropped your blood sugar?
You can PM me if you would like to know where I am doing it, if you think it is something you want to continue with.
