Ladies,

Have any of you experienced female problems? For the past few months, my periods have been longer than normal.

Then, my last cycle, I spotted for a week and then had my period. The total length was 16 days!

Its starting to seem like I am "on" more than I am "off". I'm going to call my ob this morning for an appointment.

I also have some pelvic pain and lower back pain. When I research this, I get horrible results about all kinds of female cancer which raises my anxiety even more!

Help!

I had all kinds of "female problems" when I was living in my moldy home. (I had no idea there was a mold problem for 4 years)

If I remember correctly, when I first started having problems, it was pretty much like you described... spotting and long periods... almost non-stop.

They did an ultrasound and found a cyst the size of a baseball. I had surgery the next day to remove the cyst.

Then, my periods stopped.

I would go in for checkups with obgyn and she said all was "normal." Maybe early menopause. (I was 37... just turned 40)

No periods for 3 years.

Moved out of the house and they came back within a week. First one was black, heavy and painful.

Now, they are normal(red). Every 28 days... just like they used to be.

Many "cancers" are mold related.

I also have pelvic pain, low back pain, spotting and heavier periods. The spotting comes and goes for me, no rhyme or reason to it. I was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis (swollen bladder and ovaries) that seems to be related to this. I've heard this can be caused by Lyme. Lymetoo might be able to shed some light there.

Progesterone cream the second half of the month helped me with pre-menstrual spotting. You might look into that or ask your doctor about it.

Sounds so familiar except for the low back pain. I got the pelvic pain, but it's yeast related.

Try not to freak out txgirl. It could be a cyst or a fibroid. My sister had 3 huge fibroids in her (didn't know it) and had a lot of pain and bleeding for a while.

The long spotty periods are something that I've been dealing with ever since I got babesia (8 mos). I had one period that lasted 5 weeks!

Thank you all for replying and information. I have an appt tomorrow for a sonogram. I hope it its *only* infection related, or hormonal.

My irregular periods have been caused by mainly endometreosis (need surgical procedure to diagnosis), and I think Lyme/TBI. My gyno recently started me on a VERY low dose of birth control pills and that seemed to control the irregularity.

Hope this info is helpful.
