Hi everyone -

I am so grateful to Dr. Burrascano for publishing his Lyme Guide and for CALDA to invite him to speak and sell the CD with tons of great information for us! [spinning smile]

In the speech Dr. Burrascano seems to say that Igenix is the lab to use for Lyme tests - my doc uses Clongen. [confused]

Please share your exerience and opinion if you have time - I would love to hear what you think is best/better.

Thanks so much!

Clongen will send the actual WB test strip to your LLMD, Igenex, as far as I know does not. I found it helpful to actually see the strip and the intensity of the bands. Some of which would obviously have come back negative on most tests but were faintly there to see. I was pleased with the Clongen test and staff! My sons were tested through Igenex and while we had no issues with the testing they provided I found it extra helpful to get the strip through Clongen.

The person who does the blood draws for my LLMD and I both researched Clongen and concluded that this Lab is best for testing co infections, like Bartonella. Unfortunately, we were not looking at Lyme specifically.

There are some good labs out there besides Igenex that actually take insurance.

Medical Diagnostic Labs tests for both lyme and co-infections. http://www.mdlab.com

They also show the entire Western Blot strip. Call and ask them to ship you a patient test kit for tick born diseases.

Stony Brook University has a famous Lyme testing Lab. They will ship the test kit to your doctor only.

Ask your doctor to have the lab "report all bands"

Imugen tests for Babesia, Ehrlichia and Lyme.

http://www.imugen.com

Clongen is a very good lab. Call and ask them to send you a test kit. They do not take any insurance. They test for lyme and co-infections.

Good luck.
