My hearing is way too sensitive. I've been complaining to my neighbor for keeping me up and now I realise it might just be me that is over sensitive.
I am definitely missing something in my body as my fingernails are peeling and breaking faster than they can grow.
I am already taking tons of magnesium, Core, copper, electrolytes and microminerals as well as transdermal magnesium oil every night. I would think I have everything covered but obviously I don't.
I would really appreciate any ideas that you have to resolve this as I am being awoken every night from noise and I can't afford to move. I still hear noise from two stories up even with earplugs.

Zinc may help the hearing, but this is a Lyme symptom and you may need to do some detoxing also to help this.
Also, BioSil - silica - may help the fingernails.
Nails need protein and minerals (silica, calcium, magnesium, zinc, etc.) for good health. Also, use moisturizing cream (lotion is too liquidy and doesn't moisturize as well as cream) on your fingernails too.

Yes, sound sensitivity is a lyme symptom. You can see it listed at the bottom of page 9 in the Burrascano Guidelines.
I had it only episodically. It was crazy! All of a sudden, I couldn't stand the volume of the radio and would start screaming, "Turn it down, turn it off!!!"
With good lyme treatment, this symptom should go away and you will have peace again.
So sorry this is happening to you!

I can relate! I cannot even watch TV anymore...only on rare occasions. It hurts my ears and I feel like I am being stabbed in the head with an ice pick.
My LLMD thinks that my adrenal problems play a role in this. We'll see. I just started taking Cortef and will see if I notice a difference.

I wear Mack's earplugs, which completely mold to the ear canal and block out sound the best for me.
Ok, you also mentioned your nails - I suggest Ultra Body Toddy from Trace Minerals - it has something like 70 minerals in it, and hardens my nails.
The mineral product is also in the Ultra mangosteen juice I drink as an anti-inflammatory juice, and my nails also go hard from drinking this particular brand of mangosteen juice.

My husband is deaf, really. The tv can be heard miles away, I am sure. I had problems with the loudness before Lyme.
AND COMMERCIALS ARE ALWAYS LOUDER.......
I have used ear plugs....sometimes loud noises just make my brain mush.
He tried the headset for the tv so it didn't have to be so loud. It was uncomfortable, couldn't blame him.

I recently posted here, for what it's worth, that hearing issues/tinnitus can be a result of B12 deficiency (nerve damage)....Since I've been on B12 for two months now, I've noticed the loud ringing in my ears is much less intense....you need sublingual or shots to absorb it...

When I did some sessions with a PEMF machine - pulsed electromagnetic machine that puts out pulses through this coil we hold, my tinnitus stopped for 6 hours! How quiet everything was! A Lyme doctor said it quieted down the nerves.
