Been thinking about whether my feeling crappy is just a reaction to the abx such as anyone would feel or an actual die-off/herx reaction. And here is my conjecture: A reaction to the abx would probably be fairly consistent and predictable. When I take it, for example, I would get nauseated, predictably. On the other hand, a herx is going to be irregular and somewhat unpredictable (excepting the 3-5 week cycle), and it would have a different symptom set than simple abx side-effects. In addition, the herxs may come between periods of feeling better. Bad reactions to abx probably won't have such breaks in symptoms.

Thoughts?

I think your assessment sounds right. Of you are feeling nauseated on Abx, talk to the Doc about Zofran prescription. I was not able to keep down my oral abx and the Zofran is awesome. Other than the nausea symptom though, I am not aware of other symptoms with abx.

In my experience and according to my doctor, feeling more crappy, more tired, crying, and sleeping more are symptoms of a mild consistant Herx, which is good. Allow your body to heal as it needs to. I have only had 2 major Herxes in 8 months and the rest of the time it has been the "stealth" symtoms I mentioned. I am slowly feeling better
Take care
