Is anyone familiar with this type of treatment and its success?

Some lyme patients have done this, also other types of patients, but as far as I know there are no statistics on treatment success. What you will hear is individual patient stories. So, no track record and very expensive.

Hi - don't have time right now, but later, I can look and post the edition number - there's a CALDA Lyme Times magazine issue with an article featuring the first Lyme patient to go to India for this treatment. You can order any Lyme Times magazines from www.lymedisease.org.
I know a few who have gone from here. They were not doing well at all before they went, and it turned their health around. They went twice. I have heard that about 80-90% do well, 10% do not.
You know, this is happening in more places than India - other places in the world, and also in the US.

There is a family with a short video and a website that are trying to raise money for the India visit and stemcell transplant. It is the 2 kids who have been sick for years and nothing helps. It was a sad movie clip to watch. I thought for sure it would be posted here. Here is the link:

ktk - thx so much for posting this - I hadn't seen it before - it's a tearjerker - will make you cry -
I did a one-hour talkshow interview in June 2007 which included one of these sick kids and their mom - please watch it -
you will see them further explain what's going on - they both did a good job - google for San Francisco Lyme Disease Talkshow - all of us had recently found out, so our amazement level was similar -
then anyone who knows people with some funds who would like to contribute to save their lives by sending them to India, here's the address to help:
And, this thread all ties together - since Amy Scher, the first Lyme patient to go to India, as I mentioned above, is interviewed in the video ktk posted!
So, the Lyme Times issue that has the article on Amy's trip to India is the Winter 2008 one, #54. Back issues can be ordered from www.lymedisease.org Posted by scorpiogirl (Member # 31907) on :
