Ok so i started taking detox baths two weeks ago at my boyfriends house, they are SO NICE and i feel alot of benefit from them. only thing is I cant take them over my boyfriends house because his mother said it uses too much water
and I cant take them at my house either because my dad says they use too much water and hes complaining about the water bills being high EVEN WITHOUT my detox baths
so what can I do? do you all max out your water bills with your detox baths or is there a way you can do it. like boil gallons of bottled water in pans on the stove them empty them into the tub? what should I do!!!! THANKS!

I am on a well and the city doesn't track how much water I use.
Find a friend that lives in the country and is not within city water limits.
Maybe you could bring your salts with an inflatable pool in your car. When you find a spicket take a hose and run it up and under the hood of your car (heating water) WaLa Free Bath

Huh? Where do you live that water is so expensive?? I thought So Cal's rate is high. Anyway, before I had the Hickman and now Picc line I was soaking almost every night. Now it's only every other night b/c it's too much work to wrap up the Picc line.

I pay $45 month for water. It went up to a whopping $49 month since I started taking detox baths. Is that really such a big difference? Why don't you ask what the difference is and just pay it. It would only be $4 month in my house.
Oh. And I should probably mention that I started having my son take baths at least twice a week as well using some lavender epsom salts to help him sleep. So that's me three times/week plus his two.

my llmd said that foot baths were almost as effective as full body baths, with toxins going out of the feet. kinda hard to believe but... uses very little water.

It would likely cost more to HEAT the water than for the water itself. Offer them $1 per bath. That is more than enough to cover the cost of the water and heating it as well.
You could also call the city water dept. and ask them to give you an esitmate of how much a bath costs. Then use that figure and offer them payment for your baths. Also tell them you will make sure to clean the bathtub and any mess when you are done if that is a concern.

Compared to so many other treatments out there, it seems to me that the cost of a detox bath would be negligible.
If they are viewing your taking baths as just something a regular person is doing...yes, I can understand them thinking it uses too much water. Most people probably shouldn't use as much water as it takes to have regular detox baths. It's definitely good to conserve resources, etc.
However, when viewed in the context of this being a medical treatment because you are ill? The costs are so minor compared to so many of the supplements, equipments, treatments, etc. you could be doing. They need to understand that this is a medical treatment, not a relaxation bath (though, even that seems important to me!
And, I agree with Terry. If it's still an issue because they really are concerned about money, perhaps you could offer to pay $1 per bath.
