Those of you who see an acupuncturist-how often do you see them for treatment? I just started to go to one for immune support but am looking for feedback on the frequency of treatment.
I've had Lyme for quite a while but was only recently diagnosed and started treatment for Bart in May of 2011.

once a week but I was also doing moxibustion myself at home daily

When you first get started you will need to go for treatments more often, like 2-3x per week. After awhile you will be able to stretch that out to every other week or once per month. It really depends on your body's response to the treatments. Your practitioner will best be able to guide you.

I started accupuncture 3 wks ago and go twice weekly.

I have always done 3x/week for 12 weeks at a time. It was very helpful! I'm due to go back soon but I must try PT first for my neuropathy.

Thanks everyone. I used to go 2-3x per week for a couple weeks but that was before the Lyme treatment when my body was stronger.
I think the key for me is to not be on the table too long since 45 mins knocked me out for a good few days and majorly upset the critters in my gut.
