I'm on Meporn to treat babesia, and couple hours after I take my first dose, I got strong bitter taste in my mouth. Is this normal?

Mepron can be hard on the stomach. Sounds like a little bit of acid reflux there.

And make sure to take Mepron after a meal and with fats (20g or so may be ideal, I forget the exact amount).

Which antibiotic are you taking with it? Some antibiotics such as Biaxin can cause a bitter taste.

I'm taking Doxy, Biaxin and meporn for lyme, babesia and bart.

Biaxin is known to cause a metal taste, so that could be what it is from. I had it when I took Biaxin.
