Dr. D in Massachusetts has great credentials and seems very compassionate in the film Under Our Skin. He is still practicing. I was just wondering if anyone has seen him for treatment of Lyme disease and what you think of him.

Would you please remove the doctors name from your post. Then folks can PM you if they would like. It is against the rules to use LLMD's names here. You can say "Dr. D in whatever state" the doc is from.
Just so you know.... your post MAY be moved to the Seeking a Doctor section, so look there if it is not here tomorrow.
And if you break one more rule tonight, that would be strike three and you may be stuck washing dishes for the next two weeks as punishment.
That's mild compared to what the moderators do to me when I mess up!

Whew, thought you were going to have to bribe the moderators with chocolate bars there for a minute! Glad you were able to beat them to the post and make it spic and span.
I don't PM, but I will say publicly that I think Dr. D is a good, very experienced, compassionate person and if I had the chance he would be my doctor.
He might have a cow if I ever made an appointment with him, or run off to Peru just to avoid me, but I think he is cool.
He's been around for MANY years and was the first doc to report (do a study) on such a thing as "chronic" Lyme disease. He has been beaten by the IDSA big sticks for it ever since.
Not many docs would go out on the limb like he has for his patients, and for all of us. Three thumbs up for Dr. D.
And now I am going to bed, so don't be buggin' me no mo!

Not worth much in my book. Most folks in MA go else where. He's been around for many years but what has he really done to get folks well? Use mono therapy for most of his career specializing in Tetra.

Metallic Blue had writen a pretty good evaluation on Dr D in a post last October 2010. I couldn't find it. Maybe send him a PM or he may see this and send you a copy.

I'm from ma and wouldn't use him. First off, he is semi retired. Second, he doesn't really treat coinfections. Third, he typically uses monotherapy. The Only plus is he takes insurance.
He is better than the mainstream docs, but otherwise there are much better llmds in MA.

I have an appointment with Dr. D in a couple of weeks. I will post updates on what is going on with him. I know 2 people personally that were treated by him and are better now. I don't think cured is the right word, so in remission I guess.
One was reinfected, retreated and better for the 2nd time.
This is my first LLMD appointment and I am going in with my eyes and mind wide open. Maybe not so much my mind, it's been MIA for a while...hehehehe.
