I am having an invasive biopsy tomorrow, on my r- groin. I have had the lump for over a year.

the surgeon has not even discussed the needle option. Do you think this is normal? You can touch and feel the lump.

It worries me if they open me up and everything spreads.

Ultrasound shows solid space-occupying lesion with vascularity and is tender. It could be and imflammed lymph node but should be biopsied for it does not have the usual appearance of a lymph node.

. It does not have a fatty hilum. there are some prominent smaller lymph nodes in the region. there is a 14mm lymph node, an 11mm ln and a 9 lymph node in the same general area.

It sounds like you need to have it checked out - some things cannot wait.

I had major surgery - brain and skull - last year while still in lyme treatment. Things did flare up a bit but I did not have an option - needed the surgery. It helped that I stayed on abx.s the entire time.

Be sure to stay on your abx.'s if possible and avoid any post-op steriods if possible.

Stupid question: why no MRI of lymph node?
Thermogram could give ideas??
Are cancer markers done?

My goodness...a hernia would have been seen with an MRI. Glad it was easily fixable for you!
