As for a "natural cure" - be very careful with your definition and expectations. Most good LLMDs rely on nutritional supplements to help with antibiotics and most LL NDs incorporate antibiotics along with herbs / nutrients as often they are just not strong enough on their own.
Good medicine is what works. It usually requires various combinations, rotations, substitutions, etc. There is nothing black and white about treatment other than finding a doctor who is truly educated (or a team of doctors).
For those who cannot afford a doctor, the ND thread below can help shine a light on the complexities to consider.
Dr. K is certainly excellent and you may not need to look further. However, if you do, the most important key:
whomever you work with must be ILADS-EDUCATED and truly LYME LITERATE (in that they are completely educated about the full force of the borrelia spirochete, all its forms and biofilm, etc.) as well as other tick-borne and other chronic stealth infections.
Do they regularly attend ILADS conferences and otherwise keep up with what other LL doctors and researchers are learning ? That's very important.
Also important for anyone working with herbs and nutritional supplements is that they have the rigorous training (or comparable) as NDs acquire. Some MDs have acquired such but some just tip-toe in the area.
Dr. K is very highly regarded by both MDs and NDs who are LL. He has been most generous in sharing his writings and interviews via the web so that we can all learn.
Still, nothing can replace a good LL doctor.
