My husband has had a lot of pain in his abdomen for some time. He has had all of the appropriate tests and still no answer. It takes several hours for him to get comfortable after he eats anything. He is having a Capsule Endoscopy tomorrow. He is seeing an excellent Gastroenterologist. We are beginning to wonder if this is from Lyme. Anyone have any similar problems? Ann

Hi Ann,
One of my biggest problem from Lyme and Co-infections is my gut issue. My daughter who is 6 was recently diagnosed and she also has a lot of pain in her stomach. She's doing better now that I cut out a lot of gluten, dairy and sugar from her diet as well as adding a probiotics and enzyme pills. I'm searching for the best probiotics for her to help heal her gut before we start antibiotics.
Good luck your husband!

Yes - Lyme and coinfections can most certainly cause abdominal pain. See http://thehumansideoflyme.net/viewarticle.php?aid=62 for more info on what all Lyme & Coinfections can do to the GI tract... I've got just about every single symptom listed in the gut and have for years, all thought to be from Lyme.
