I woke up this morning wth an itchy rash on my abdomen just uder the wasstband of my boxer shorts. It has 4 raised bumps (pretty big bumps) and a little red dot sort of in the middle of it all. It's not a bulls-eye at all. It's also red.
What would you do in this situation? See a doc pronto (so many of them aren't knowledgeable about Lyme, though). Take an old bottle of antibiotics you have around (some of these have expired though, I think). Anything else???
Thank you for your help!

Blackbird, I would see a doctor. Let them know you have been dealing with Lyme.
My only visible experience with Lyme has been really itchy, red, nasty rashes that would last for months... Dermatologists called It chronic hives. When I was finally dxed I herxed and lo and behold, one of my rashes.... My doc added doxy (which works well. In the skin) and the rash disappeared in two days. My rashes never responded to antihistamines or prednisone...
Can't diagnose you. But if your PC would test it with doxycyline...it would be pretty telling.

Doxy may be dangerous to take if it is expired. Better to go to the doctor and find out what's going on...

For my 2 cents, without seeing it, I say it could be Bart.
When I started Rifampin, I got a rash that started on my arms and moved the whole way down to my feet. I would describe it as bumpy and itchy.
A good friend treated lyme&co for 3 years, finishing with doxy for months. During that time she went thru a divorce and one morning she woke up with a bumpy, itchy rash on her abdomen.
That was the only symptom she had at that point. Her LLMD put her on Rifampin for 2 months or so and the rash went away.
