Do you have a good probiotic? That is a major key. then as far as herbals, I know many have had luck with things like olive leaf oil, oragano oil, garlic (I use Allimed)...that type of thing. If you aren't on Mepron, some use Grapefruit seed extract. Many of these have more benefits than just yeast, so doing some google searches may help you decide which might best work in your particular case. Good luck.

Natural products are mentioned in the 5-step plan below.
DIET, DIET, DIET is the key. Then, be sure to follow the 5 step plan outlined below. It was developed by my naturopath. It works.
"Successful control and elminiation of a Candida Albicans overgrowth requires a multifaceted program as described below. Failure to follow ALL the steps simultaneously will result in slow progress and will lengthen healing time significantly. The program should be tailored to the individual and must balance the need to eliminate the Candida and deprive it of its food source while insuring proper nutrition for the individual."
Five Steps to Candida Elimination:
1. You must starve it into submission by eliminating its food source.
2. You must kill it with anti-fungal herbs and supplements. [e.g....garlic, onion, caprylic acid, Pau D'Arco capsules or tea, clove, grapefruit seed extract, olive leaf extract, oil of oregano, tea tree oil, Echinacea, Goldenseal, black walnut, MSM, barberry root, uva ursi, neem leaf, biotin]
3. You must reestablish the proper balance and quantity of probiotic bacteria in the digestive tract. [...multi-strain lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidus capsules with FOS should be taken between meals to maximize repopulation of the digestive tract by beneficial bacteria.]
4. You must reestablish proper levels of all B vitamins (yeast free) and utilize other immune enhancing supplements to boost immune system function. [e.g ... B complex vitamins (yeast free), biotin, beta 1-3 glucan, colostrum, maitake mushroom, vitamins A, C, E, zinc and selenium]
5. You must cleanse and heal the digestive tract to promote proper elimination of toxins and Candida and assimilation of nutrients. [e.g...chlorophyll, MSM, omega 3 fatty acids found in flax seed and salmon oils, GLA found in borage, evening primrose and black currant oils. Pantothenic acid, digestive enzymes between meals]

No, because that strain has a maximum life of 1 week. There's no way it can be overgrown.
Basically the good yeasts takes up the space and eats the food that the bad yeasts would have used.
The coolest thing is that S. boullardii is not affected by antibiotics.

I'm not on abx .. would i benefit from taking s.boulardii to help combat the yeast?

Since they are selling the pills themselves, and since they would lose profit if people weren't taking them continuously, maybe there's good logic behind their claims.

Thanks, James. Always wondered that.

Sanum products, recommended by all dr. K's seminars against candida.
They are the best.
Add enzymes for helping digestion.
I never really got big help from probiotics.
Herbal killers or chemical killers wont work if you don't detox heavy metals. Chlorela or similar is a must, in my opinion. Two decades of experience with candida, funghi. Only recently reached remission (about 6 months). Still crossing fingers it will not come back.
But since heavy metal detox and Sanum , candida got weaker and weaker. I'm hopeful it will definitively go.
Good luck!

I have had moderate results with natural products for yeast. My yeast problem is primarily on my skin, but I'll share my system with you.
1. Internally: LOTS of probiotics, chewable, refrigerated (like lactonex) 4x's/day AND plain yogurt AND Kafir.
2. Eat 3 tbs. organic, cold pressed coconut oil daily, straight from the bottle no cooking it!
3. Eliminate sugar and reduce carbs from diet
4. Use apple cider vinegar on prone skin after shower daily to prevent rash
5. Apply Tea Tree Oil when rash becomes visible
6. Use coconut oil on skin as primary moisturizer to prevent rash.
I have had the yeast problem for years prior to ABX use, it only got worse with ABX. My GP gave me a script for Diflucan along with the ABX and it is the magic bullet!
Diflucan works better than anything I ever tried, better than the expensive cream from the dermatologist, better than the all natural system I described above.
